jackie liu

artist, digital designer and programmer — UK

Jackie Liu is an artist, digital designer and programmer, holding a master’s from NYU ITP and a bachelor’s in Computer Science from MIT. Her practice draws on the 2000s internet as autobiographical material, blending websites, interface design, visual narrative and games. She is interested in nostalgia as a forward-thinking practice: revisiting and reimagining technology to experiment with new modes of relating, to herself, to others, and across moments in time. Her work seeks to cultivate collective vulnerability and experiment with new ways of being together. At msj, invited by artist Arnab Chakravarty, she developed the writing of a new digital project exploring the place of the personal within the collective machine.
