naoile jouira
Since childhood, Naoile has been practicing writing (poetry, fiction, and articles). After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in history, she pursued a path in humanitarian work and social and solidarity entrepreneurship through a Master’s degree in NGO management and emergency projects. She worked in this sector for over 8 years and traveled to numerous countries while simultaneously engaging in independent creative endeavors.
In 2012 and 2013, she created her first two documentaries. In 2018, she decided to fully dedicate herself to filmmaking, delving deeper into screenwriting and exploring her personal experiences and universes to tell other stories. She then directed 4 short films, including “When the Oriole Returns” (in official competition at Paris Court Devant 2021, Best Actress Award) and “My Mother is Peter Pan,” selected in 2019 for Claude Lelouch’s Cinema Workshops in Beaune, where she was welcomed as a resident filmmaker for 2 years. As a director, editor, lighting technician, production manager, or producer, she gained diverse experiences on film sets over 5 years.
In 2023, she received several offers from publishing houses for her collection of texts titled “INTERIOR.NIGHT.”, which she ultimately decided to continue writing. She is currently writing and developing several projects (documentary and fiction), including her first feature film “The Blue Door,” a social thriller. In 2024, she directed her first produced short film, titled “Trek Salama.” A road movie supported by the CNC, the Occitanie and Grand Est Regions, as well as SACEM. It will be broadcast on France Télévision in 2025.

We are passionate about supporting arts and artists, and our entire msj team has volunteered tirelessly to make the opening of this art residency a reality in 2024. Our pricing reflects the true cost of running a young art residency that supports emerging artists, ensuring that everyone involved is fairly compensated for their expertise. Our pricing reflects this commitment, covering artists’ fees and operational costs, thanks in part to the support of Maison Saint Joseph, which offers us favorable rates for room rentals. To successfully run each workshop, we require a minimum of participants. We’re confident in your support to help us bring this incredible program to life!
